A Limerick A Day

at

Hugh Grant and Renée Zellweger in Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason (2014)

I know this is sad, but it’s true
That a popular actor named Hugh
Has now reached the stage
Where his advancing age
Means starring in rom coms won’t do.

If the adaptation of A Very British Scandal is only half as good as the book, it’ll be well worth a watch.

I’m looking forward to it. I think Grant has been underrated as an actor for a while now. After FWAAF, he did a lot of risable romcoms where his hair did most of his acting so it’s good to see him get his teeth into something meaty.

I wish Rene hadn’t removed a considerable amount of her charm with plastic surgery

    I would

    Bloggarding aside tho’
    Definitely underated as an actor
4 weddings etc set him back by 20 years into typecasted durge
If anyone is of a mind and on Terrarium, skip all the Irish news shows and debates
Go and pick up “Music and Lyrics” with Drew Barrymore
    Lovely 90 mins
And get the great Kirsten Johnston with one of my favourite comedy lines ever “… I’m marrying her anyway… ” context needed tbh
And Brad Garrett at what he does best, and in just the right amount
