Despite what the Irish World says, it seems it’s this – http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-44202832 I’d be more than interested to know where the BBC got their 60% poll figures from? Hello, Hard Border! ID at the ready, not the bit, ID which determines intellect on the brain, the bit where one has to produce papers to travel throughout Ireland. I’m currently weeping.

Also, we (Tyrone) lost our four in a row run yesterday, to Monaghan – great team – not a great week, so far. I think Monaghan should be okay for Ulster. Good luck to them!

Thanks Shayna, fair dues to you.Tyrone has always been such a force to be reckoned with, hopefully we’re on a winning streak now.

Monaghan play a good clean game, no match-fixing and steroids round our part of the country…

It’s adorable the way you guys are talking about the least cared about provincial final. 4 in a rows in ulster/leinster/etc only go to show how outdated the system is.

Plus the days of UK teams winning the All Ireland are thankfully over for the moment /s

I was reminded of a joke by Ardál O’Hanlon (a Monaghan man) – “When Nelson Mandela was freed after a quarter century in prison, he asked, ‘Is Nudie Hughes still playing for Monaghan?'”.

    “Polluting Wood Stoves Banned”

A couple of years ago that headline would have read “Brussels Gives UK Cooking Instructions”

…I think that’s the point…Arlene’s folk already have the grant…their grandchildren will still be benefiting…

Foster said yesterday: “Citizenship and rights are essentially unionist issues. They are issues we should set out to reclaim. Nationalism is by its nature narrow and exclusive. Being a Unionist is the opposite. Unionism stands for pluralism and multi-culturism. We are inclusive and welcome all.”

Tell that to the gay people who want to get married or the non whites ran out of east Belfast Arlene. No more inward looking bunch of sectarian bigots on this island than the DUP.

        1. Repro-choice Bertie

“We are inclusive and welcome all” says leader of party that refuses to return to Assembly if there’s a chance of a minority language appearing on road signs.

          classic reverse propaganda
see the young Paisley on C4 news last night? when cornered he wouldn’t answer the straight question. so obvious he’d be feck all use at a poker table

she’s fupped & they’re fupped, her version of unionism doesn’t even appeal to most regular joe unionists from what I can see.

united Ireland inside 10 years (with some sort of massive one-off EU/UK cash benefit as the sweetener)…whether we like it or not!

WSJ reporting that Digicel’s partner ZTE and Wilbur Ross’s commerce dept are close to a deal, involving the lifting of the ban on buying/using US components. Its tentative with considerable opposition across the aisles in DC to any relaxing off the ban,the FT also reporting a deal is on the table. This would involve dramatic and far reaching changes to management, further crippling an already severely weakened and distracted, vital partner off Digicel.

The South China Morning Post (Jack Ma) recently had a good piece on the “Chinese Way” which must not have resonated well with Digicel,it calls for changes in the pursuit off profits only.
Digicel has a scheduled a ‘road show’ in New York this week, in which its trying to round up investors or get a temperature read on the likelihood of refinancing the 2020 bonds (debt) early. The dollar which its bonds are denominated in has strengthened considerably against its revenue source (local emerging mkt’s),this makes servicing its debt load even more challenging.

There has been a significant change in attitude towards EM (emerging markets) with large outflows from the various funds offering exposure,it will be one DOB’s major coups if he pulls this off, more likely this dog and pony show ends with a whimper,it also happens to be the lead into the first long weekend off the summer, with most market players getting ready or on their way to the beaches in the Hamptons, pretty bad timing with very little appetite for Digicel, the end is nigh :)
