This is exactly what I’m talking about when i say people will be less careful with contraception when abortion is an option – woman is on the pill and then starts taking antibiotics which everyone knows can screw up the pill but hey, trust women right? Anyway, gets up the duff and then comes up with a whole pile of bs rationale like bad bf, bad job prospects etc to rationalise aborting her foetus.

But hey she feels loved now that people have responded to her story so that’s something.

Funny thing is the pro-choicers are so far gone that they will be incapable of recognising this abortion of convenience (it wasn’t convenient to stop while she was on antibiotics) for what it is and will instead mentally reframe it as some sort of medical necessity or some bs.

you’re a heartless, hateful misanthrope. at least you only have one vote – and hopefully the sheer for of your awfulness has turned people against voting No.

      1. Janet, I ate my Avatar

Starina he will be telling you that you are just an angry feminist who is gagging for a screw from a real alpha male like him to deal with your anger issues in a minute
Why is this abusive person not on the naughty step ?

        1. Paul

You said it Janet not me.

And you’re making yourself look silly with your constant appeals to be saved from the evil misogynist, last time I checked that’s not how feminists were meant to behave.

          1. Janet, I ate my Avatar

well you’re the expert on feminists and silly girls feelings
            so yeah what you said

          2. Paul

You copying Mildred now yeah? you’re just gonna repeat back to me what i say to you? sigh

You know I’m way more confident in the religious busy bodies who try to run things than in anything I’ve heard from the repeal side. It’s becoming apparent that zero thought has gone into this besides a few nonsensical and contradictory slogans like my body my choice, trust wimin and down with the church.

You guys are ridiculous and it will show in the vote.

          3. Nigel

And I’m old enough to remember when young Paul dared to critique and diismiss the standard of debate round here.

          4. Paul

They’re some big words you’ve learnt Nigel, now all you have to do is make them somewhat relevant to the previous comment so that people have a clue what you’re on about

      2. Paul

Do you have to lead in with the ad hominems……have you nothing constructive to add?

        1. Paul

You’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel here Janet, be better off saying nothing and using the time to reconsider your position.

          1. realPolithicks

Paul, I’m not sure what the point is of your endless diatribes is but if you are hoping to change peoples minds with your constant nasty commentary then I think it’s time to rethink your strategy.

    2. Nigel

Imagine the idea of antibiotics as some sort of medical necessity! Where do these women get off?

Edgelording women who tell their stories is SUCH a good way to argue a No vote do keep it up.

      1. Paul

What are you on about Nigel? Of course antibiotics are a medical necessity but they interfere with the efficacy of the pill so she should have stopped having sex or used alternative protection but she didn’t did she? That way she wouldn’t have had an ” unplanned” or should I say “wasn’t bothered to use adequate contraception” pregnancy and we wouldn’t have to sit here listening to her fish for sympathy for something that was her own fault.

        1. Nigel

If the unwanted pregnancy arose because she made a mistake then so what? Why is she less deserving of either sympathy or the right to decide whether to go through with it or not? Hard to pin down your point here beyond generalised animosity and disgust.

          1. Nigel

If she didn’t want to get pregnant then not using contraception was a mstake. Obviously.

          2. mildred st. meadowlark

It’s like the time I went on the pill 9 years as a form of contraception, and then got pregnant through not bothering with it.

            It’s exactly like that.

          3. Paul

TILL deliberating not taking or ceasing to take birth control is “a mistake”.

See this is the problem with trusting people, people are useless and can’t be trusted.

    3. mildred st. meadowlark

Wow, amazing how you know so much about her, like her motivations and ambitions, and why she’d possibly do something like this.

Hey everyone, I reckon Paul must be a secret Paula with all this insight he’s bringing to this conversation.

Maybe they’ll make a documentary about you next.

      1. Janet, I ate my Avatar

Someone definitely had his nuts in a vice at some stage
        still bitter

          1. Paul

We’ve been over this already Janet, but we’re getting off the point again. Every time we reach a point where you have to acknowledge something that you would rather avoid you start with the distractions but whatever, it’s transparent to all but you.

          2. Janet, I ate my Avatar

Actually whenever there is an intellectual point you are reduced to browbeating and patronising
            that’s patronizing to you

      2. missred

I’ve had men shout this stuff to me in my face and in this manner, it was genuinely terrifying. It doesn’t take much for the mask to come off

        1. Paul

shout what lol? That you’re a feminist? And you were genuinely terrified? Jesus, what is with you feminists and the appeals for sympathy today

          1. Nigel

What is it with you and this weird way you have of attempted mimicking human emotions?

  2. mildred st. meadowlark

Lads I thought Paul was on the naughty step? No?

Ah well. Leave him at it. He’s doing a great job all on his own.

    1. Janet, I ate my Avatar

      true
It’s almost so offensive you can’t even be offended anymore
      parody of a human

  3. Starina

i’m really excited that there are perfect men out there that never ever make mistakes or have accidents. i can only hope that one will accept my feminist harpy self as a wife and housekeeper someday.

    1. kellma

Starina it probably keeps Paul awake at night that he can’t make his own babies and that he has to relinquish control to the “useless” wimin.

    2. Paul

Ah the old “well nobody’s perfect” argument? Yeah you’re right nobody is but that doesn’t mean you can just go around killing things

      1. mildred st. meadowlark

You make a good case for it though. That’s quite an accomplishment.
