Kathy Go Home

The pro-life group that rallied 30,000 people to pray the Rosary on the coasts of Ireland in the fall is now organizing a public penance in the wake of the abortion referendum.

Forty Days of Reparation for Life and Faith” will give Irish Catholics the opportunity to “come before God and ask for His mercy and forgiveness” in response to last week’s right-to-life catastrophe.

Rosary on the Coast organizer Kathy Sinnott told LifeSiteNews that the national will to abolish the right to life of the unborn child wasn’t as strong as has been reported.

“I was devastated not just by the loss of protection for the baby before birth but by the size of the vote,” Sinnott told LifeSiteNews.

“[But] as the litany of irregularities in the voting process mounts up, I am no longer am so sure that the election figures are real and the gap as big as it appears.”

Heartened by this suspicion, she is now organizing a spiritual battle against Ireland’s new culture of death.

Sure between this and all those remorseful souls heading to confession after voting YES, mass attendance figures will be back up to 80’s levels by the time “Gods Representative on Earth” arrives in August.

D’ Nile isn’t just a major north-flowing river in northeastern Africa.

Hey, Kat, how about we hold a few days of public penance for all the atrocities committed by the Church?

“as the litany of irregularities in the voting process mounts up” [citation needed]
Then again, for religious fanatics, citing evidence isn’t a habit they’re accustomed to.

    1. kellma

Indeed Sam for evidence has sweet f all to do with religion! You doubting Thomas! LOL

  4. mildred st meadowlark

Best of luck to them. Enjoy it folks. I am certain it will be heavenly.

    1. rotide

      Couldn’t agree more with this.

If it makes yis happy and doesn’t hurt anyone, go knock yerselves out

  5. bisted

…another yank who acheived high political office in Ireland and whose main claim to fame is being creative with her expenses…

From the link above: “We will counter them with 40 Days of Reparation for Life and Faith.” The “40 Days” began on May 30 and will continue until July 6.

Hmmm.. 30th May until 6th July is only 38 days (counting both).

But I suppose in a religion that thinks 3 = 1 what can you expect…

    1. scottser

Theyre really praying for brazil to win the world cup. With god and paddy power on their side, they can’t lose

  7. ahjayzis

Was worried until I got to the bit about the *spiritual* battle.

    Off you go, Kathy, love.

  8. AFoxamongpidgeons

She’s suspicious of the figures so refuses to believe them… don’t anyone tell her about atheists

  9. realPolithicks

Also I saw something yesterday that one of the sherlock loonies is claiming that the referendum was rigged:

“”Sadly the referendum was rigged!… The Lord told me it was a 53% No vote. Please pray that all the lies deceit and misinformation will be exposed and uncovered in relation to this and that whistleblowers are stirred to come forward and speak and that a legal challenge to block this is successful in Jesus’ name.”

You couldn’t make this stuff up!

    1. Bs

      That isn’t true…it can’t be true…please don’t be true…it’s true isn’t it?

          1. Cian

We could save a fortune by not running any more referendums nut instead asking Ciara what the lord says the results will be (both percentage and turnout).

        1. realPolithicks

Also, could the lord not just stop the cheating yessers in the first place?

  10. Rugbyfan

Mattie McGrath will get in the way of the legislation…..will be just like him.

      1. bisted

…Mattie, AK47 and Lowry…three slieveens in the one county…where would you get it…

Since their doctrine is no longer our law, they can pray to their heart desire, at the time & location of their choice. They can do it on the green of my estate. Why not. Eclectic. Locals might join in with yoga mats or kettle bells. Meditation all the same.

  12. missred

Haven’t heard a peep out of Kathy Sinnott for a while now. Last I remember of her was when she featured among that motley crew denoucing abortion with Waters et al about five years ago. She was standing agitated in a field like she’d escaped from an asylum

“I was devastated not just by the loss of protection for the baby before birth but by the size of the vote,”

You know who else is devastated? Every woman who has suffered under the 8th and every child assaulted and/or killed by the church.

40 days of flagelation, how embarassing.

    1. realPolithicks

“40 days of flagelation, how embarassing.”

Maybe Chan4 could make it into a summer special with a big build up to the finale on day 40.

      1. vertigo

If it is a mortal sin to abort babies and a crime punishable by excommunication for voting for it before the referendum ,the church have really backed down
        But has god?
I suppose heaven will now just be for jihadists and their virgins
Imagine halal delights and virgins for the head choppers

          1. vertigo

Well the argument was such and now for the flock to return to church the bar has been lowered
I do believe in god but hypocrisy no

          2. mildred st meadowlark

Hypocrisy tends to be a byword of religion. In theory, it’s simple. Human nature complicates things.

  14. Sheik Yahbouti

Ah, American fundies – personally, I can’t get enough of them. This one is extra special though.

    1. Sheik Yahbouti

Her high lifestyle and the upkeep and care of her severely disabled son has been courtesy of thee and me (and who knows else) for a long time. That takes real talent.

  15. Catherine costelloe

You can’t ridicule an old lady in fairness. Different Ireland , hidden, nasty and ugly.
A photo shoot of Cathy. I’d guide her on the bus, tram, cab and tell her have a nice evening.

  16. sparkilicious

Some ripe comments on here *smacks lips*. Broadsheet when you’re good, you’re very very good.

  17. Patrick

Why is the title say “go home”? Is it because she is “not one of us” and holds beliefs that we don’t? Can we now treat blacks, Asians, muslims and whoever else the same way now that journalists are free to lead with that sentiment?

  18. Gabby

Kathy Sinnot stood up for the severely disabled many years ago, was elected as an independent MEP and urged Europe to stand for the vulnerable. She has been true to herself. People aged 18-60 are different today, certainly, but human nature hasn’t changed, and Kathy is wary of its capricious instincts. She knows about vulnerability.

  19. Rapscallion

Can we leave the mad conspiracy poo to the Americans? Is she on the Russian backed cash too?

  20. Dermot

When Ciara is having another of her “chats” with you know who, could she possibly ask for tonights Lotto numbers as I’m a little strapped for cash …….

  21. Wait For It

Prayer’s worked a blinder for them so far,so maybe there is something to be said for another mass. But given that these tens of thousands beseeched unto Him and He didn’t give a fig,is it at all possible they’ve gotten His message wrong?
