The launch of RTÉ Sport‘s World Cup 2018 coverage. To wit:

RTÉ will provide live coverage of all 64 games across RTÉ2, RTÉ News Now and RTÉ Player. Over 180 hours of television coverage will be broadcast on RTÉ2 including 56 live games from Russia with eight end-of-group games streamed live on RTÉ Player and RTÉ News Now

    RTE spending how much to cover a tournament Ireland isn’t involved in?
    When punters can watch it on other channels anyway.
    Cash for the boys and gives the largely idle sports department something to do.

        The national broadcaster’s role is that of public service not commercialism for the sake of paying its staff.
        The World Cup will be available on ITV and BBC presumably.

      Jacqui is on about 100
      yer man Collins about 80 I’d say

      and Darragh Moloney, who imo is one of the best Sports heads in the game, is on about 170 180
      and one’ah the few out there that would get a start anywhere in the World
      on 3 times as much

      Day’cent sort as well
