Why do you want a name Terry? Do you want to organise a straightener. You’re incredibly thin skinned for a man that loves to dish it out.

Dear Terry, you can be absolutely 100% certain that when we next meet I will identify myself and we can have a chat about how your opinion put two people I love in direct mortal danger, along with the unnecessary pain 1,000s of other people had to go through.

Ditto myself, Cu. I would be more than happy to meet and engage with Terry face to face at any time or venue of his choosing, and to buy him a drink. I post anonymously for two reasons (1) past unpleasant online harrassment and (2) I share a name with a progressive politician I admire, and would be loth to risk tarnishing their reputation with my occasionally bizzare or inane ramblings.

I’ve often wondered about the double-standards of moderation on here.
Today the mods seem quite happy with a poster calling Germans Krauts.
Yet earlier changed my description of Irish people as Patricks to ” people of Irish origin.”

Your quaint racist nationalism channeled through archaic ritualised sporting events played by millionaires has never been my cup of tea but I hope your team scores many wickets and your disdain for foreigners is expressed through many chants and nursery rhymes in heaving drunken mobs of mindless hate and disappointed dreams.

          3. Ollie Cromwell

Talking of wickets the England ODI team, led by that excellent Queen’s Shilling-taker Eoin Morgan, yesterday posted the highest-ever total in the history of the game.

It has to be hard to accept comments that you are a waffler etc. after you have poured your heart and soul into a piece, but if you offer up your outputs for public consumption, negative as well as positive feedback go with the territory.
