Bitch FalconDublin grunge/alternative trio

What you may need to know…

01. Aiding the seeming Irish alt-rock revival along are power trio Bitch Falcon.

02. Last we checked in with the band, they’d premiered single Clutch via Nialler9, since released on all digital outlets.

03. Streaming above is the video for same, released yesterday. Directed by Spiceburger, it plays on the band’s indomitable stage presence in a skewed take on the performance vid.

04. The band are going on a full national tour to support the new single, including dates in Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Portlaoise, Leap, Dublin and Castlebar. Full itinerary in the pic above..

Thoughts: A bold visual, accompanying a band kicking off the grunge shackles and tearing into something noisier and more grandiose.

Bitch Falcon – new single Clutch, appearing at Body & Soul

What you may need to know…

01. Alt-rock trio Bitch Falcon emerge from writing & recording-induced hibernation.

02. Forming in January 2014, and turning initial heads for their fusion of grunge’s dirtier take on pop with their own stellar musicianship, their string of singles early last year helped put them front and centre in Irish independent music in short order.

03. Streaming above: brand new single Clutch, which premiered on Nialler9 yesterday.

04. Get an earful tomorrow night at Body & Soul festival if you’re about – they’ll be playing the Midnight Circus stage at seven bells. Failing that, they’ll also be at Sea Sessions and Indiependence.

Verdict: Clutch tackles tough subject matter with a purpose and aplomb that’s fast outgrowing the whole “grunge/pop” label. Glorious.

Bitch Falcon – Wolfstooth

The second slice of a music web series confection from Broadsheet.ie and PressRecord.tv aiming to help create and host videos for acts performing new material.

John Barker writes:

“This goes under the category of ‘a band not to miss’ at HWCH [Hard Working Class heroes festival in Dublin] this weekend. Bitch Falcon play Hangar tomorrow night at 9.30pm and over the last few days have been heavily tipped by Nialler9, Una Mullally, Goldenplec and every music blog you can think of as the band to see over the three days. Definitely one of the biggest buzz bands this year. This song ‘Wolfstooth’ (above) was their first and most popular single, released in January….
