An item on US telly – featuring covering the financial aid being sent from Irish donors to help two tribes of the Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma, USA during the rona. In 1847 the Choctaw people sent $170 to help during the famine. The best $170 they ever spent, in fairness.

The Choctaw Nation’s generosity toward Ireland during the famine was marked with the dedication on Sunday of a piece of sculpture, entitled Kindred Spirits, in Ballick Park, Midleton, County Cork.
