Sadly, yes.

This morning.

Griffith Avenue, Grace Park, Dublin 9.

Dublin Fire Brigade District Officer John Mc Nally lights the fuse of a banger on the hand of a dummy – we shall call ‘Nigel’ –  with horrific consequences during the launch of a Halloween fireworks danger awareness campaign at the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre.

He’ll never play the violin again.

This morning.

Navan Road, Athboy, county Meath.

Clann na nGael Football and camogie club writes:

VERY ANNOYED, we put up this mannequin: in support of our fabulous Meath Ladies & our 2 local heroes. This morning it has been removed from Athboy/Navan Road. Who ever took it please bring it back it does not belong to you. It was secured to the fence, so it had to be cut to be removed.

Any excuse.
