Maeve Binchy’s last novel, A Week in Winter, will be published this November by Orion, it has been announced.The book, which was originally scheduled to be released in October, is set in the fictional village of Stoneybridge, on the west coast of Ireland, and centres on guests attempting to enjoy their winter break.

In fact for years she [Maeve Binchy] brought in her own seat due to her arthritis – the soft seats in Finnegan’s didn’t offer the support needed. My favourite memories of Maeve Binchy? I don’t even know where to start.  Not having met her  But I think like many she was to me my mother, my sister my granny, my Great Aunt Ursula. If any of these four women were kindly multi-millionaires. Instead of blood sucking alcoholic wrecks. And so what if she sold books? That was her job. I think it was Tom Clancy who said (cont. pages 1,2,3,4,5, etc.)
