London based illustrator Andrew Fox created this pleasing set of minimalist calligraphy animals, each one deftly conjoured with a few strokes of his calligraphy pen.
Picasso had a go at something similar back in the 1940s

PaleoBarefoots by Gost, whose managing director Jörg Peitzker believes that ‘because the feet contain many nerve endings, they are an important part of our sensory system that has been nullified by stifling modern footwear’.
The minimalist shoes cost €200, offer protection from sharp edges, rocks and twigs and are apparently quite comfortable for, you know, metal booties.
Of its new minimalist footwear, launching spring 2013 for £110, per pair, Nikeblog sez:
The Nike Studio Wrap is a three-part footwear system comprised of a wrap, ribbon and flat and designed to offer a better-than-barefoot experience while solving the myriad issues that accompany simply not wearing shoes. The ribbon and wrap ensure some stability and support without hindering range-of-motion at all, with a minimal sole that offers a bit of protection and maximized flexibility. And unlike shoes, the wrap and ribbon can easily be tossed in the wash with the accompanying mesh storage bag, ensuring easy cleaning and portability.
In fairness, if you had legs like that you could wear a pair of empty Tayto bags.
