‘New’ old photos from Captain Scott’s Terra Nova Expedition which included Tom Crean and Patrick Keohane (top pic with sleigh), from Courtmacsherry, County Cork. Keohane was part of the support group which found the bodies of Scott and his team

From the BBC:

One hundred years ago this week, Captain Robert Scott’s Antarctic expedition finally reached the South Pole only to discover Norway’s Roald Amundsen had beaten them there five weeks earlier. Now, photographs taken by Scott himself have been purchased for the Scott Polar Research Institute (SPRI) in Cambridge.
