Three glass skulls made by Portland artist Eric Franklin – lit from within by ionised neon (top two), neon/krypton (middle two) and neon/mercury (last two).
The skulls are made from carefully vacuum-sealed borosilicate glass tubes within which the ionised gases fluoresce when electrified.
