This 1971 model still sported suicide doors at a time when the 500 supermini had long done away with them. Giardinieras from 1966 onwards were built by partner company, Autobianchi hence the badge on the front of the car.”

Jaguar 3.4: “Initially I thought this was a Jaguar Mk 2 but some research indicates that it is the oft-called Mark 1 or Jaguar 3.4 (a 2.4L model was also available). That would suggest a date somewhere between 1955 and 1959. The Mark 1 and Mark 2 are very similar aesthetically so I could still be mistaken. This model has a four-speed manual transmission.”

car5 car6VW Polo Mk 2 (Typ 86C): “The second generation Polo debuted in 1981 and here we have one from 1985. I forget what litre engine it is but I think it’s the base model 1043cc version. Introduction of the Mk 2 Polo was the beginning of the end for VW’s small the saloon, the Derby, which was renamed the Polo ‘Classic’.”
