After three fascinating years as Irish Times economics editor, I am moving on. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the great many people who have shared their time, thoughts and insights over that period and my many colleagues who have made the experience so interesting and rewarding.
I will be taking on the roles of chief economist at the Institute for International and European Affairs and senior adjunct research fellow at University College Dublin’s School of Politics and International Relations.
From December I will also be writing regularly for Independent Newspapers, including a general column in the Sunday Independent, a weekly economics column each Friday in the Irish Independent and contributing to the newspaper as economics analyst.Dan O’Brien
