Saverio Bellante, who has been charged at Blanchardstown District Court with the killing of Tom O’Gorman in Castleknock, Co Dublin at the weekend.
Det Sgt Pat Trainer told the court that when cautioned at the Garda station, Mr Bellante replied: “I am guilty”. Mr Bellante told Judge David McHugh he would represent himself [when he appears at Cloverhill District court on January 17].
