Seven cops from the Garda Traffic Unit have been transferred after being caught drinking tea on the job. The motorbike officers got caught up in “tea-gate” a fortnight ago when they stopped off for a cuppa at Dublin Port down by the Docks. It was alleged a member of the public rang up and complained about the seven motorbikes being parked up while the officers were on duty. But it’s understood there are trackers on the bikes and that’s ultimately how the officers were caught.

7 Bikes, that can’t be far off the total number on duty in Dublin at anytime! Meanwhile on the roads countless dangerous offences go unpunished

Moral is only useful if they are doing their job… I find it difficult to understand how 7 traffic Gards’ were all in the same place at the same time, unless it was a regular thing to travel across the city to meet up and spend some time…

Yeah but any money exchanged is for their companionship only.
Anything else that may happen is purely coincidental and occurs between consenting adults..

what about the secondary benefits of guards meeting up and sharing information etc. the pr*cks who ratted them should be sent to the gulag

Clampers we are not talking about 1 or 2 bikes here but 7 which probably amounts to 90% of all the road traffic enforcement bikes being off the road together at one time for say 30-40 minutes

I doubt they paid for the tea either, which is also against their code of conduct
