Hopefully crashed & burnt in a ditch with theifs still in.
A win win for all of us
Sorry for the spelling, fat fingers, need typing wand !
It would appear Randy got a woody!
+1 (through the windscreen)
I hope you get that back, but considering where it was and the type that’d want to joyride in a car like that, and the mess they’ll make of the gear box doing so, I wouldn’t hope for much…. but good luck !!
Even the standard pine tree air freshener from the mirror didn’t deter them. Bastages.
Fingers crossed you get it back in one piece. Let an immobiliser and GPS tracker be your next purchases.
“Jap” fest?
Yes, JapFest.
Ireland’s only festival of Japanese Motoring and Motorsport fest doesnt have the same ring really.
“Jap Fest”
I’m now remembering that HB had an ice cream on the market in the early 90s called “Gollywog Bar” with a Black and White Minstrel on the wrapper.
I think it was a gollywog on the wrapper.
My mistake. I was thinking of Barry’s Tea.
They were lovely. Just a block of white ice-cream on a stick.
No, that’d be Lyons tea who had the minstrels.
You’ll get there eventually :)
And there was jam. Jam with a gollywog.
Robertson’s!
You’re right though, the Golly Bars did have a gollywog. Lyons had minstrels.
Man I’d kill for one of those now!
Didn’t they rename them to just ‘Golly Bars’ and remove the offending gollywog pictures?
They were really lovely.
They were always called Golly Bars. They never went for the whole hog “golliwog” in the name, but they got rid of the picture in the late eighties or early nineties, I think.
I want one now
So, we reckon it was a person wearing a minstrel hat, dancing with a cane, with dark curly hair, that stole the car. I’ll keep an eye out.
and who could forget…

Almost certainly chopped or burnt out but I’ll keep a Jap’s eye open just in case
*Type R* (hope you get it back)
Type ‘R’, the R is for ‘robbed’
This is descending into a Journal style 80s ice creams nostalgia bore-fest.
