He could have been just enjoying the view and not even contemplating doing degradation to himself.

Tough one to call. Was he just admiring the view or was he contemplating jumping? Did you call the rescue services or see how it was playing out?

Echoes of the ‘Dame Street Man’ with this post. Probably just clearing the head – while clearly wrecking everyone else’s. Precarious position. Be he suicidal or not, the gusts are very unpredictable down there.

in fairness – afraid of hights, not afraid of hights its not a place to go to think…. cos even accidents can happen. I really think it was a change of mind., but its sad to know someone just stood and took a pic of him sitting and waited. I don’t care i’d not be waiting to see how it panned out. I’d rather make a fupping muppet of myself and call rescue then sit there while taking a picture and see someone fall to their death. All I can say is, i’ve seen that happen and you won’t ever ever ever get over it.

Good grief, can a guy even sit down to admire the view anymore?
And yes, unpredictable gusts, that’s why people sit down at cliff edges to admire the view instead of standing upright with their toes dangling out over the edge…
