Oh.

The Facebook page “I bet this brick can get more likes than the Labour Party” was only created 17 hours ago, but it is already nearly half way to achieving it’s goal. Only a matter of time to when we’re ruled by the brick instead of the planks we’ve already got.

Says the person who’s somehow found the time to comment on an article about a Facebook page dedicated to a brick..

How come it is not a comparison with FG? Sure, Labour should and will sink, but it is only the small parties that seem to be blamed.

I completely agree but I think everyone is a bit more annoyed with Labour ‘s U-turn on the USI pledge, introduction of water charges, etc. I know they’re the minor coalition party but the should have stuck to their guns when they were negotiating with Fine Gael. Like the UK’s Labour Party, they’ve lost their connection with the working class and it’s the working class Labour are suppose to be representing.

Labour have abandoned their voters in favour an FG agenda. At least you know what you’re getting with FG, a kind of smug conservatism. Labour are meant to have this kind of vague lefty buzz about them.

Then, as the junior partner in the coalition, the Brick will be obliged to compromise its manifesto promises at the behest of the larger party, It’s support base will become disillusioned and erode away, and some other inanimate object will begin the cycle anew.

It shouldn’t go into coalition then and continue to build its support base over the next few years while the larger parties diminish their own support base from the preposterous way they govern the country, considering themselves to be Lords and Masters instead of servants of the people, representing their will.

        Phew!

        *Inhales sharply.

But big possibility of it getting 1000’s of likes from British Labour-haters?
