Yikes.
The life of ferocious, flame-haired Irish Prince Red Hugh O’Donnell is explored this evening by Neil Delamere in episode two of Holding Out For A Hero.
Including a re-enactment of Hugh’s pantaloon-clad escape from Dublin Castle in January 1592.
Hugh was to later lose two toes on the Nitelink his way to Wicklow.
Good times.
Holding Out For A Hero tonight at 9pm on RTÉ2.

Fair play. Yet to raise any suspicions with the lads at Make A Wish.
The first episode was very good. Its a shame there isnt more Irish history on RTE beyond the 20th century
They probably (correctly) think that no one would watch.
But the lads who escaped from Dublin Castle slid down through the toilet waste pipe into the sewer, before making their smelly, silken-clad way through the tiny city and out to Wicklow. More realism, please.
Also, not so pantaloony, this is how Irish people dressed then:

I remember your man with his arse out in the first black and white photo there from the school history books.
They all have horrible feet
