So, this person takes the piss out of Muslims and calls the cartoonists cowardly and blames multiculturalism…. so everyone is at fault except the scribbler….
If the far right want to get there message across better maybe they should get a copywriter cause this is terrible. It just shows the average level of intelligence of people on the right. I saying that though these far right groups always seem to have catchy Harry Potter themed names, i wonder what twelve year old came up with Phoenix Rising?
Jaden
“Their point across” methinks. Maybe you and this chap could timeshare a proof reader. (TIC).
Drogg
But i am commenting anonymously on broadsheet, to a bunch of commentators. So it doesn’t really matter if my grammar or punctuation is correct, see even though you are getting pissy that i typed the wrong there you still got what i meant but if you are a far right political group wanting to spread your message to the masses maybe it should be a bit more clear and concise. But you just go back to your nit picking there.
Jaden
Moans about the quality of a message, complains when someone points out poor quality in own message.
I fully agree that language and grammar should never be a barrier to communication, but you can’t berate someone for articulating badly, and not expect to be pulled up on it when you do it.
As for the subject matter in hand – graffiti guy is clearly an idiot.
Mr. T.
Drogg. Incorrect spelling and bad grammar is the writing equivalent of mumbling and lazy pronunciation. Don’t expect people to waste their time correcting your mistakes if you want them to read your message.
Make an effort and get it right yourself.
Drogg
Mr T I might surprise you but I am not well spoken or pronounce all my works correctly. I actually use much better language typing then speaking but I didn’t realise it’s a requirement to speak proper queens English with a pole stuck so far up your hole you can taste wood to be a commentator here. I obviously came to the wrong place.
Paolo
The hypocrisy of refusing to recognise your own hypocrisy.
Rightonleftfield
“If the far right want to get there message across”
Shouldn’t that be “their”, …”It just shows the average level of intelligence of people on the right.”
better check yourself before making the left look like fascist morons! For the argument of all graffiti artists, you make the claim you are a commenting anonymously on bs.ie, no doubt they would make the same argument, that they are not cartoonists or media working for a national newspaper whose remit is to report news and when free speech is attacked to republish the muslim cartoons or any other nutter religious freakery out there.
Odis
Why is it always THE FAR RIGHT, that’s you blame for having a poor opinion of Islam?
Meh – Skinheads! Meh – Neo nazi’s again!
I have a poor opinion of Islam because I’m a Left Wing Secularist.
You might remember “our type” from such things as pro abortion campaigns. and being against blasphemy laws and censorship In general.
This shouldn’t be taken as implying we have some sort of visceral hatred of foreigns. It should be seen a a sincerely held opinion. Which often flies in the face of the confidence trick that is modern left wing opinion. And something which has, coincidentally, been joyfully hijacked by the right wing, to exploit the proletariat.
Drogg
I know they are far right because I have come across their work before.
Drogg
But i do agree with what you are saying i think the lines are becoming more and more blurred but the problem is as the lines become blurred people in the extremes are being pushed further and further away from the centre. Extremism of any kind is dangerous if it be left or right.
Odis
My argument is also, that the centre, is being controlled, by those who seek to exploit us.
When people like Boris Johnson, come across as right-on and as heroes of Political Correctness, you don’t have to look to far to discern their agenda. And who, for that matter, they ultimately serve. (Clue – Its not you)
Drogg
Really when was Boris right-on? Just like my lack of religion, my lack of having a political affiliation allows me to believe what i want to believe and when i wish to believe it and its the dogmatic following of religions, political parties and political ideologies where these extremities seem to come from.
Odis
Boris right-on? Fraid so m8. He kinda blew it a bit though. But an excellent example of “New Right” chutzpah nevertheless. I’m not going there now because
1) The story is a bit long
2) Its pretty much off the subject.
3) I’m lazy.
Possibly. We could also improve things by ejecting the “people of faith” that already rome the streets.
[before Drogg jumps on my back, that is a deliberate typographical error in order to create a word pun]
Soundings
It’s people of faith “who”, not “that” and where’s the bloody pun in “that”?
Jonny
Is it me or does their symbol look like male genitalia and the line is the urethra?
Dough Berman
I thought the very same. Even has pubes.
Hungry Lungs
Came here to write this. It’s all I can see

maybe that is what they mean by phoenix rising

Jaysus lads you’d want to have a sex obsession or serious problem to see that, come on you’re giving the left a bad name here.
Mr. T.
I think Charlie Hebdo was a conceited self regarding publication which unfairly targeted Islam over other religions. They certainly didn’t tolerate much targeting of Judaism.
They certainly didn’t deserve to be gunned down. But let’s not all jump on the self righteous band wagon.
If there was a publication in the Middle East constantly churning out anti-western or anti-Christian cartoons or Anti-Semitic cartoons, the attitude of Europe and America would be entirely different.
People need to smarten up and stop falling for polarized ideology which is promoted by and serves only the political and business leaders who profit from war and the social division of ordinary people.
Dough Berman
“I think Charlie Hebdo was a conceited self regarding publication which unfairly targeted Islam over other religions.”
What’s your basis for thinking that? Particularly in light of, for example:
I won’t pretend to have heard of Charlie Hebdo before the massacre, nor will I pretend to have become an authority on it over the last five days. But I see nothing to suggest they targeted Islam ‘over other religions’.
They did (Wikipedia assures me) fire a guy for penning a purportedly antisemitic Op-Ed piece – something about Sarkozy’s son converting to Judaism prior to marrying a wealthy Jewish woman. Doesn’t seem to have been ‘targeting of Judaism’ so much as targeting of Jews. I trust the distinction is uncontroversial.
jeremy kyle
True, this is not the time for people jump on the self righteous bandwagon.

Yeah, thought these guys believed in an ‘eye for an eye’ stuff.

Are Paddy Prendeville or John Mulcahy, the editor and owner of The Phoenix, behind all this? The Moo-Ham-Mad is pretty much up (or down) to their usual standard of humour. They can’t spell “multicultural” and the Phoenix magazine is peppered with grammatical and spelling mistakes. The reference to the Phoenix is a dead giveaway and I see the other construction site that was targeted, photo linked to by Gavin Reilly above, was Denis O’Brien’s office development on St Stephen’s Green and the Phoenix is forever saying Denis is a total asshole. Makes you think.

Painted over in grey now. So move along nothing to get sued about here.
Nothing like anonymous graffiti for calling out cowardice, I always say.
Isn’t all graffiti annonymous? Or do people usually leave their mobile and email address in the bottom left corner? Please enlighten us.
It’s a fairly banal hypocrisy. Pretending not to perceive it will impress nobody.
never heard of Banksy? you should look him up on the google machine
ah yes, the well known Banksy Bankerton, who lives at Bankington Crescent, Banksford, Bankland.
This seems to be just one dick whos making us all look bad
Picking on poor oul Inda again?

There’s an OUCH between your T and É.

What’s the reference to Moo and Ham and Mad? Some kinda BSE anti-islamic/anti-jewish thing?
Phoenix rising? Doubt that magazine will ever get it up. FF/SF lite.
