I used to frequent the aul Gallic Kitchen a LOT in my heyday. Recently, I was mooching around the Marlay Park Saturday Market and they had a stand there! They’ve some new name, which I can’t remember but if you go there, you can get ’em.
I had a great chat with the person behind the stand who politely listened to me reminiscing about the good old days.
Mani
Top rolls.

Third Space in Smithfield sell the most delicious sausage rolls ever created.
Sausage meat, unbrowned. They just stuff it into the pastry and bake, hence soggy greyness.
The only sausage roll worth grabbing as a deli snack is the mustard hot-dog lattice. May have been a Tiger thing and they’re a threatened species as they’re hard to find of late.
it’s called sausage meat, dude. if it was recognisable as part of an animal you wouldn’t touch it.
What? I thought sausages were fillet of pig!
that’s a bacon sandwich lad. which i could really go for right now..
No… you probably misheard. It was more likely fill it with pig, any part of the pig
That paste substance is sausage meat. What the hell do you think is in a sausage – nice lumps of pork?
who eats sausage rolls?
Me
And me! The Lolly & Cooks ones are fuppin delicious.
Agreed, the L&C is savage.
*L&C one is savage.
As much as I wanted to dislike Lolly and Cook because of their twee name, they do make very nice food.
Thus why they are called the “savage roll”.
You should try the spanish onion and parmesan soup when its in, insane.
Ooooh now that soup sounds soooo good. Am gonna make a big pot of French onion soup tomo, but will check that out, ta !
There’s a place on Serpentine Ave that do some pretty unbelievable sahage rolls.

Most Spars still do them. Best to get them early in the morning when they’re fresh from the oven. Yummy!
Supervalue…. That’s how they roll, yo!
Yah… I’ll get my coat…
I concur.
I do wonder who buys this kind of stuff in general, and how many times do the sausages and all get reheated?
ah sure, lips and @rseholes stay fresh for ages.
get up earlier flat dweller and make your own breakfast
Nought wrong with an aul sausage roll, but buying one of those meat paste sacks is pretty grim.
