In fairness Fluffy, the quality of League of Ireland has plummeted over the past few years. (not helped by that total asshat in charge of the FAI)

Rovers reached the group stages of the Europa League and our players have sold for a few hundred thousand to English clubs and these players made the Ireland team subsequently…Its not all bad

True enough. It’s just a shame to see the domestic game overall in recession. I was a regular at the Brandywell when the mighty Liam Coyle was on his third stint at City:-). Cracking player to watch.

He was. Went to the first leg of the FAI League Cup final between Limerick and Derry City as a young teenager. The atmosphere created by the Derry fans was class. Their chant “We’ve got Liam Coyle-io, ye’ve got f**k all-io…” was stuck in my head for weeks.

Limerick won 1-0 over the two legs. :)

Am I missing something? What’s defiant about this?
See that at nearly every Premiership ground.

On a train yesterday and I knew exactly what was going on in that game. How? A guy, who I think was a Liverpool fan, was watching the game live on his phone with no headphones. How kind of him to let the whole carriage listen in ;)

Apart from giving him the stink eye, I was going to say nuffink… I did however resolve to purchase myself some noise cancelling headphones :)
