Students from Colaiste na hInse, Laytown at Tayto Park yesterday

In the company of fellow crisp lovers?

Dream no more.

Joanne at Tayto Park writes:

Yesterday Tayto Park, Ashbourne [Co Meath] was delighted to open its doors for its fifth season. First year students from Colaiste na hInse, Laytown ditched the books and were the first to run through the doors of Tayto Park for an adrenaline filled morning.

With seven new heart-racing attractions for 2015, this promises to be a year like no other in Tayto Park! From the fast paced Air Race and Sky Tower to the Dinosaurs Alive Exhibition and the eye-popping 5D cinema, there is lots to keep kids, both big and small occupied for hours.

Not to mention The Cú Chulainn Coaster, Europe’s largest wooden rollercoaster, opening in Tayto Park this Summer. Other new attractions include an antique-style steam train track around Tayto Park and the Honey Pot Roundabout, perfect for little ones wanting to dip their toes into something adventurous.

We have four free passes (yes TWO family tickets) to Tayto Park giveaway to two crisp-park loving Broadsheet readers. To enter just complete this sentence:

i demand the Tayto park free passes considering the week i’ve had, between screaming kids and aging parents, up to my eyes.com, Mr Tayto would help to forget the stresses and enjoy some quality time with the kids away from it all :)

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had. This prize would Taytolly make up for it!

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had because it’s been so miserable I don’t even want to talk about it, although I’m tempted to ring Joe. I’m alright though hunzos, just PM me the tickets xoxo

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had – I work at home and my extremely ‘spirited’ 10 year old son Noah has been sick ALL WEEK and I have had to put up with his demands every 90 seconds for more biscuits, Playstation, glasses of water, toast, TV, crisps (yes), iPad, Wii, etc. I also demand these lovely free passes because just yesterday I booked tickets to bring my 2 kids to Ireland in May (we live in France) so the freebie would offset the eye-watering cost of the flights! Also, like Tayto crisps I am from Meath. That is all.

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had running around getting bits and pieces together for my daughters Easter bonnet competition in primary school, removing solidified glue from the kitchen table and crepe paper which somehow managed to get stuck to the coats of the 2 dogs during the build. If she doesn’t win something, the passes will be a great consolation.

I went to Tayto Park. The amusements are great, but the ‘zoo’ is so sad, the animals all look super depressed.

I demand the passes, cos it’s my husband’s 40th birthday on Sunday & since I’m a stay at home mama, I don’t have any of my own scheckles to buy him a daecent present!

I demand the tayto free passes to make up for the time I spent this week reading clampers posts, and the disappointment I felt having read them.

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had – Monday I woke up with the trembles and halucinations of a hard weekend away with the lads. At one stage it got so bad…. I walked into a shop and saw mister tayto himself living it large in ibiza on the front of a crisp packet. I ran straight out of the shop back home to bed – I’ve been rockinig back n forth in my bedroom ever since. (any typos in this message are due to the rocking)

‘I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had: my twin 3 year old girls have gone from one illness to the next: vomitting bug, viral infections, coughs, colds. They deserve a great day out (and so do their parents!)

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had, blew my nose yesterday and a never ending substance the colour of Lucozade came out of it. Frightened the bejaysus out of me, doctors tells me it’s a sinus infection. Great, just in time for the weekend!

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had, not getting to see my husband Mr. Tayto cause he was busy getting everything ready for the opening of the park and appearing in those telly ads (he hugs other people but never me!). If I get the tickets he can’t avoid me!

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had stuck to the jacks after eating a dodgy packet of walkers.

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had. I’ve been stuck eating poxy ham sandwiches with no crisps for the whole last week leading up to pay day. It’s a small problem in the scheme of things (air crashes / being punched at work by your boss / leaving a billionaire boy band) but it’s all mine. Plus my son would possibly explode with happiness with a trip on the steam train.

‘I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had I got sacked for hiting an employee, I had over 1000 of my private web txts read out in court, left the worst band in the world cause that idiot of a manager kept wrecking me head, woke up to find that wiener Ronaldo had covered my car in tin foil, only a month left in me run of the mill gaf and its my sons birthday next week and all my assets and bank accounts have been frozen.

I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had working in Berlin. One evening was spent trying to get a ticket for the 5pm train, but all trains were an hour late, so the 5pm train was the 4pm train, and I was made wait for the 5pm train at 6pm! Nice to be home for the weekend and looking forward to a crisp sandwich to aid my hangover in the morning!

‘I demand the Tayto Park free passes considering the week I’ve had was grand and I’d like to top it off with a grand weekend at Tayto Park. That and I’m emigrating next week and it might be my last chance to visit the place. Also I would use the tickets. Plus I like rollercoasters.’
