Galway city.
More than just a great place for guilt-free daytime drinking.

Galway are competing against Dublin, Limerick and a coalition in the southeast made up of Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford to become the European Capital of Culture in 2020. Galway are the first county to announce a bid ‘Launch Video’ and I am delighted to share it with you guys…

Nah, too many crustys. And dogs. With bandanas.
Wasted 4 years of my life in college in Galway- it was brilliant! But by final year I was thinking “there has to be more than this?” I left and never came back. As did everyone I knew who went to college there. Everytime I go back it makes me a little sad. The cliches about Galway are true- it’s just a place to go drinking during the day or arse around doing nothing. Trustafarians everywhere. Still, fond memories of Galway legend Nora and auld maureen who reads the forturnes on Eyre Square.
