Yesterday.

A walk through yesterday of the Forbidden Fruit festival site at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, ahead of this weekend’s music [including Fatboy Slim and the Wu Tang Clan], art, fashion and comedy festival.

Patti Smith and her band will perform Horses in its entirety at the same venue on Monday

I mainly meant in relation to their radio ad that says Grove Armada prominently but doesn’t add the (DJ Set) the poster does.

Made me sad, though trying to relive 00’s gigs of my youth probably makes me sad in a different way

      Agree.
Better things happen within those walls, so if it funds the upkeep of the place…..

          Any year?

I doubt you attended any, if you did you would know that the lineup was always superior to what is in store at Forbidden Fruit

If you were at any, you’d know that I’m not on about the line up :)

I was at one when called Witness and two as Oxegen… haven’t missed any EPs yet, been at ’em all ! (I’ll possibly get abuse for claiming that… fupp ’em!)

          2. Smashmouth

Oxegen was only terrible towards the end when they replaced decent headliners with pop music

            Witness was great craic altogether

          3. Clampers Outside!

Admittedly I was drunk on arrival at Witness… and still mashed on departure… Oxegen… not much better…. thank fupp I don’t drink no more!

Last year was my second EP on the dry… and I loved it! :)

Havent been since 2012 but was brilliant then, even tho the weather was terrible it was a great buzz, vague memories of walking back into town after modeselektor and getting filthy mud all over the place!

  2. Dongle

It’s grand. Ok for a few pints but not a madouvah wandering around making friends with strangers kind of festival. 10:45 is far too early for a festival to end, particularly if it’s held on the June bank hold at weekend as it’s barely after sunset.

  3. Pale Blue Dot Cotton

Last year was my second and it still surprised me how much of a total ouvit session it was. Bring yizzer bleedin’ wellies this week, you’ll need them to tuck your jaws dry.

Spot all the narcissistic PR types and their tendencies to attend the opening of an envelope as if it gives them some sense of importance.

    fpuping t***s. #instagramsBackstage

  5. Desert Fox

I was only at the first one, and i LOVED it. Flaming Lips used to play here too often but they were epic. Aphex the next night was incredible. Hangovers didn’t even matter after that.

Haven’t been since, next summer I’m going to come home for at least one festival.
