What you may ne4ed to know
1. It’s like, the arthouse version of San Andreas (2015).
2. BASED UPON A TRUE STORY.
3. Sweet cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, Jason Clarke (with actual Aussie accent for once), John Hawkes... Where’s Mark Wahlberg?
4. Plus: Keira Knightly. On the phone. Looking concerned.
5. Jake Gyllenhaal tried the blockbuster thing, but it didn’t exactly go to plan. In recent years he’s been killing it in the likes of Prisoners (2013), Nightcrawler (2014) and Enemy (2013) In case you haven’t seen the last one, it’s worth it for the last shot alone.
6. Broadsheet Prognosis: Get The Rock in for the sequel.
Release date: September 18

“Jason Clarke (with actual Aussie accent for once)”
Actually, I think that is is an attempt at a New Zealand accent.
A friend loaned me the book. Blew me away. Brilliant story, will be fantastic to see it transformed to the big screen.
Is Megatron in it?
Yep, and a few transgender girls too.
True story?
It actually happened on K2 and not Everest!
I don’t know what story it’s based on but it can still be an accurate statement to say that even if the locations are different. Everest is that bit more Hollywood than K2
No, it’s based on Everest and not K2.
Ever get the feeling that it takes a real pain in the @ss to climb Everest?
Hahaha
K2 is harder than Everest but hey, it’s not as high.
Jake Gyllenhaal only likes working on single-title movies.
Is it not based on the storm which hit in the 90s on Everest when Jon Krakauer was up there? If it is, it’s an incredible book.
Yeah, not sure how accurate it will be to the book. The movie seems a bit more Hollywood alright. It’s been a long time since I read the book but I loved the part where the guy shooting the Imax film gave up his oxygen supplies to help others at a cost to the project.
