This afternoon

Former Taoiseach Liam Cosgrave at the opening of the Alfie Byrne Exhibition at the Little Museum of Dublin, Stephen’s Green, Dublin.

Alfie Byrne was the most popular Dublin-born politician of the 20th Century and elected Lord Mayor a never-to-be-beaten 10 times. He has also never been the subject of a biography or an exhibition in his hometown.

Until now.

Looking forward to the day when there will be a Catherine Murphy exhibit in the Lill Museum.

    Maybe even a Broadsheet one?

How come he didn’t take the rest of the family along, as well as the
pension, he has a prime piece of real estate along the Schollardtown Rd.
        he choose his ancestors well.

  2. Boba Fettucine

Looks like another world class exhibition from Trev ‘ n ‘ the gang. Between the job-bridge staff, the free rent and marketing from Bord Failte and the no-money-spent ‘exhibitions’ of 4 photos, a milk bottle and a 50p piece Trev ‘The Dubliner’ White must be making out like a bandit from the entrance fee he charges bemused tourists.

Not to mention that Alfie Byrne is a character in the story James Joyce wrote for his grandson, The Cat and the Devil.
