‘sup?

This afternoon.

Dublin Zoo, Phoenix Park, Dublin

President Higgins and Sabina inspect the viewing area of Sea Lion Cove, the “biggest and most exciting development” undertaken by Dublin Zoo.

Joanne O’Sullivan writes:

The New saltwater habitat was inspired by the natural enviroment of the California Sea Lions and includes a state of the art water filtration plant. The most spectacular feature is the new deep saltwater pool and viewing area that allows visitors to observe the sea lions swimming underwater through glass….

Tell that to the oryx who is extinct in the wild but is still in existence because of zoo breeding programs forget that Dublin zoo is helping reinvigorate the population of Asian lions in the world or the animals they have taken in from animal rescues because they can’t cope with exotic animals. Yeah your right zoos are horrible. Sure why would I want my kids to see what real animals look like without bringing them to volatile regions of the world? Maybe we should shut them all down and see how long the last in the wild.

Source for this? Not being facetious, genuinely interested. I’m generally opposed to the idea of zoo’s but open to seeing both sides of the coin (shock horror)

Did ye know that there’s a big door at Áras an Uachtaráin that leads directly into Dublin Zoo?

(Seriously – the Áras apparently gifted the use of lands to Dublin Zoo at one point, and there’s a connecting door between the two.)

A door that you open, and you suddenly appear in Dublin Zoo? You might say it’s a magic door…

I think you’ll find it is you who is the big door at Áras an Uachtaráin that leads directly into Dublin Zoo!

    Going straight after work.

Thought this day would never come.

First year with an annual pass, and no sea lions. Well, I have been denied long enough.

    Can’t wait

I wonder how that poor polar bear that went insane is getting on…? The poor fellah…. He’s pretty push rock back and forth in a daze all day long….

why are they making the sea lions swim underwater through glass? the glass would have to be molten hot. stop this cruelty now.

Well least they are not trapped in the mouth of a great white or orca like what happens to California sea lions in the wild.

      West Pier frolicking freely.
Sads to captive seals & animals all over the world-trapped in aquariums, water parks etc.
The worst I ever saw was in godawful Dubai…in blingy mall all the greedy shoppers watching a huge wall of exotic fish & sharks.

Let’s confine animals to glass tanks infinitely smaller than their NATURAL habit and pay money to a business so we can watch them suffer. YAY :-( It’s 2015 … It really is time to stop supporting this denial of animals to live in their natural habitat simply so we can look at them ‘up close’.

What a great tax-free life he has. Pissin about all day going to the zoo, football matches and banquets. Useless f***** traitor. He sold us out over that water bill. The role of the President needs to be drastically changed. He’s supposed to represent and protect the interests of the people :/
