The three Irish that died in Tunisia, the three Irish died in Baltimore (Cork) – so very sad for the families and victims, RIP…but I’m wondering why the flag / official protocols and TV/Radio shutdown is not applied to these lives as they were to the Berkely accident. I recall Bertie Ahern shut down the country for a day after 9/11 but wasn’t consistent in his actions when Irish people were killed thereafter. Is there a selective protocol for National mourning? I’ve no doubt an advisor to an Taoiseach reads BS so please divulge…?

Very interesting point. I think what the politicians do is gauge media reaction and then act.

“Chaos at Dáil protest” according to Dindo.
Is there a definition of chaos I’m not aware of or has Dindo an agenda?
(Shatter was trapped in his car for 15 minutes apparently and will be writing letters to the Garda Commissioner etc)

Hit in the face with a bottle, I believe.

But I understand that they were screaming “PEACEFUL PROTEST!!!” at the time, so that’s fine.
