Nicola Tallant is displaying very poor taste in publishing those mugshots of the two Anglo guys. They don’t deserve to be kicked when their down and the only people this is hurting is their families, who did nothing to deserve this. The nation did not want to see those mugshots and it shows how little she knows if she she thinks those two guys are fat cats. They shouldn’t have done what they did and they certainly did profit from it, but at least try to pretend you have some self respect, Nicola, even if it’s clear you don’t.

Yeah, thought the same. Small fry in the scheme of things. Got their punishment and it’s enough. No public interest here.

Davina, I’m willing to bet you’ve never written a comment when the SW published pics of criminals from working class neighbourhoods were put on the front page?

What’s the difference? Except that these Anglo gurriers have even less excuse for their lack of integrity.

Classter, if you read what I said you’ll see that I didn’t say anything about the SW (or any other newspaper) publishing ‘pics’ of these two Anglo guys – I specifically referred to ‘mug shots’. My point was: publishing ‘mug shots’ only serves to humiliate the families of these two guys, and particularly their kids, who did nothing to deserve this. Photos before the verdict are fine but mug shots are kicking someone when their down and demonstrates seriously bad taste. I’d have no respect for a paper or journalist that would do that.
