Heard Jason Corbett’s brother on the radio this morning, sad and difficult situation. Why, if the wife is the only suspect, hasn’t she been charged? Are the US authorities not worried that the children might be in danger? Does the wife have rights even though her husband refused to allow her to adopt his childrenl? Complex case. If I had been caring for my husband’s kids for years and he refused to allow me to adopt, I’d be thinking divorce.

      No offence, but…

      Hang on…
      -This ‘Corbett’ story…

Have I been asleep for a few days?
      It HAS happened.

Or did the valued and sacred bastions of Oirish Journalism just re-invent Madeline?<

      Please forgive me.
I know I’m going to Hell.
      I have been for ages.

You spelt ‘Bwaah-Ha-Ha’ wrongly., and you forgot to mention that Labour are still on an unstoppable decline.
      Otherwise, spot on!

Re Irish Mail on Sunday, do not many, if not most, Americans have DUIs? They don’t seem to regard drunk driving as a bad thing in itself, just something for which one should avoid getting caught?

There’s only one response to that question Malta.

I wish I knew what it was.

,i>-For the record, I’m totally AGAINST drunk-driving in America and some other places.

I feel like I have to apologise for forgetting whatever I said earlier on that might have offended anybody, even though I know for certain I didn’t say what you think I said. Okay?

    I told you, good grass.

Can someone explain what McCann Fitzgerald possibly have done to deserve €678,993 as part of the Central Bank purchasing this building & proceeding to finish it?

Are our laws completely f***ed in the head or what?

I assumed that they had always gamed the points to a certain degree.

How are they ‘gaming’ the ranking reports other than working to the test?

The newspaper headline is misleading and some of the highlights are hilarious: for instance Trinity came 32nd for English literature, hardly a proud claim for an English speaking country beside England.

VJ Day 70th anniversary story in the British papers – the contrast between a smiling queen and the tearful veteran – tells you a lot about both papers.

Photo of Clare Byrne from about 10 years ago. Her current, older self is probably not sexy enough for the Sindo.
