Oh really? Well the church learned the hard way (a very painful lesson). And the numbers relative to today’s problems aren’t as bad as you percieve. I’m sure you have plenty of recent abuse stats involving priests up your sleeve eh? New Ireland has already repeated history all over again. You haven’t even reached denial stage. A long way to go yet. 10000s of lives to be ruined before we can even admit there’s a problem the way big pink New Ireland is ordered (though “ordered” is probably too generous a term). Anyway, the church will always be there to help out and help us all through the seemingly insurmountable repair process.
