Further to upset at comments made on last night’s Claire Byrne Show on RTÉ One.

Deirdre O’ Shaughnessy writes:

Cork-Calais campaigner Tracey Ryan (top) spoke to PJ Coogan [on Cork’s 96 FM] about her disgust at alleged racist statements going unchallenged on Monday night’s Claire Byrne show. Ms Ryan had been invited on the show but was never called to speak….

I’m frightened now. Seemingly they want to blow up The Rock Of Cashel too – no doubt they’ll also be planning to level The Blarney Stone, to tarmac The Giant’s Causeway, and to close Irish Water.

I thought it was a fair debate,Claire Byrne seemed to dismiss the crazies when they spoke. The guy that said there are problems from Sweden to Portugal is spot on and those that say there isn’t haven’t traveled much., that isn’t racism.

Well, surely whether it’s racism depends on what you’re implying the problems are and what causes them. There are problems and forrins where I work. That doesn’t mean that the forrins are the cause of the problems.

BS, can we have some cat videos or something? Please? We’ve been ever so good and responded to the clickbait, pulled out the same old arguments no-one listens to, fought and made up, then fought again with the new guy.

    Just one light-hearted video?

Byrne’s a shock jock, aiming to outrage people just enough to generate ‘Twisher’ buzz.

It’s the only explanation – no one is that incompetent. She used her marriage ref debate for the same purpose – what better way to generate hashtags than hosting a debate on surrogacy under the guise of SSM.

Frontline was way better, CBL is tabloid crap.
