    You reap what you sow.

Don’t turn on your home heating, drive your car or fly to see your uncle in London if you really want this to stop. The west sticks its ore in ad hoc in certain parts of the world yet expects no reprisals. This be the price for energy. This is our own fault. Doesn’t sit well does it.

Token Islamists or leaders of the Islamic community in Ireland showing solidarity and condemning the violence?

      To-may-toe to-mah-toe.

      1. Mister Mister

You can’t win with some clowns. Rabble rabble rabble, why aren’t they out condemning these attacks.

Rabble rabble rabble, look at them token “Islamists” (chortle), what do they think they’re doing.

      they’re called Muslims, not Islamists.

Islamist: “a supporter or advocate of Islamic fundamentalism.”

Muslim: “a follower of the religion of Islam.”

Muslim: “a follower of a religion based on what a murderous warmongering paedophile says to be the word of God”. A man who for 13 years before God “spoke to him” tried and failed to preach to people and after “God spoke to him” the first person to call him a prophet was his brother in law (all true).

I have no problem with muslim people, I work with a lot of them and most are friendly nice people, but it’s hard to ever trust them when they follow a book word for word and that book says it’s OK to kill non believers.

No I actually do work with lads from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Malaysia. Nothing in what I wrote is incorrect. Just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t mean it not true. Muhammad was a warmonger (there is documented history about him) and Muslims do follow the Quran word for word.

Lol OK I believe you internet stranger with in depth and lengthy understanding and study of modern Islam!!

You might want to check that headline with someone who has a bit of French. It says something like ‘Against us of the Tyranny’

      1. PaddyJoe

        Ah. Makes sense in ocntext.
        ‘Contre nous de la tyrannie
        L’etendard sanglant est levé’
Mea culpa or my bad as the young uns say.
        :-(

  3. You've got Daily Mail

Is it just me or is La Marseillaise a singularly inappropriate song to sing on this occasion?
It’s about as tasteful as signing Amhrán na bhFiann after the Dublin-Monaghan bombings.
Nationalism, like religious fundamentalism, should be left where it belongs in the past. I’ll be singing ‘give peace a chance’ or Imagine, like that lad with the piano.
Flags and anthems only stir animosity and call for retribution.

Aux armes, citoyens… ‘To arms, citizens…

    (Couplet des enfants) (Children’s Verse)
Nous entrerons dans la carrière We shall enter the (military) career
Quand nos aînés n’y seront plus, When our elders are no longer there,
Nous y trouverons leur poussière There we shall find their dust
Et la trace de leurs vertus And the trace of their virtues (repeat)
Bien moins jaloux de leur survivre Much less keen to survive them
Que de partager leur cercueil, Than to share their coffins,
Nous aurons le sublime orgueil We shall have the sublime pride
De les venger ou de les suivre Of avenging or following them

Aux armes, citoyens… To arms, citizens…

    1. classter

Just you. The national anthem would not have been an inappropriate thing to sing after the Dublin-Monaghan bombings.

  4. Hashtag McMór

Seems like such a bunch of Rainbow Warriors (of the Keyboard variety) out there. Appropriate, given the French bombed it and killed in the process. And where were these fuquers when we really needed them in 1798?

  5. Bill

Was Ibrahim Halawa’s father there? No thought not, he’s still promoting sharia law and the Muslim brotherhood.
