I think the shenanigans with Carneiro and Hearn was the beginning of the end for The Little Moor: Jose lost his Fleet St ballwashing brigade after that.

Plus the Falcao signing was just bizarre. I didn’t think they’d be this bad but it did seem like something was rotten very early on.

She had an affair with Ivanovich and a fling with a few others. When Jose found out he wasn’t happy. Game over.

Wenger should really come out with a dig about “failure”
alas he won’t as he has too much class – much like Arsenal
Brian Shaler
Loads of class ,but no silverware.

No 10s of millions this year and he can’t cut it. He’s been a very lucky manager. And exceptional Porto team, like Ajax years ago, then Chelsea with billions, Madrid had as much as he wanted as as well.
Bertie Blenkinsop
I’m no Mourinho apologist but he won the CL with a pretty poor Inter team.

Agreed, BB. Not a favourite of mine by any means but the man does have coaching skills. Isn’t there a school of thought abroad that Mourinho felt he was edged out of Inter with more work to do?
MoyestWithExcitement
He did….but then Roberto Di Matteo won the CL as well.
Bertie Blenkinsop
Well okay, he won the Treble with a pretty poor Inter team.
MoyestWithExcitement
..when Juve were relegated for fraud. (I think) I’m not denying he’s an excellent manager but he does seem to need to have very specific conditions for success. The 3 season thing can’t be a coincidence anymore. He has a formula but he doesn’t seem to know what to do when that formula doesn’t work.
Bertie Blenkinsop
I’m not entirely disagreeing with you –
I think he brings success at a cost, he invariably buys players at their peak and leaves you with an ageing squad.
MoyestWithExcitement
That plus he seems to use emotion to manage his players more than most which can, evidently, backfire on him. People talk about his mind games but I don’t think he was putting it on when he took potshots at Wenger or screamed obscenities at Carneiro. He lets his emotions affect his performance and that’s rarely a good thing.

“The 3 season thing can’t be a coincidence anymore. ”
I’m guessing that he wears out his welcome with his grating personality.
Anomanomanom
Yes that was a great achievement.
Brick Tamlin
As did Benitez with a worse Liverpool team.
ahyeah
Well that’s gone and ruined Christmas

don’t be so sure. guardiola announced today he won’t renew his bayern contract. you know well roman is making ‘come to bed’ eyes as we speak..
ahyeah
Well, no, I meant that I was quite enjoying Mourinho’s weekly humiliations.

And I don’t think Guardiola would go anywhere near Chelsea. Man City bound for sure.
Mourinho
Ah well, what can you do…

Excellent headline btw….

The thing about Chelsea is they always try and walk it in.
6 months after winning the league.
What price would that have been during the summer?
€30 million for his troubles.
Pox. Really thought they had a serious chance of going down with him.

We can only pray. Small time club with a small time mentality to quote Alec Ferguson.
Rodgers.
