      Melton Mowbray in Rutland – I’ll never recognise Leicestershire! – has two TGI designations of food exclusivity: pork pies and Stilton. I fascinate myself.

    The code in the oval just gives the previous link in the supply chain, so English cheese packed in Ireland, or vice versa, is perfectly acceptable.

        But it does support Irish jobs. As OP said, Stilton is from the UK. If I’m going to buy Stilton (and I’m going to buy Stilton) is it not better that I get it packaged in Ireland?

    Once it says “Packed in Ireland for ” then I just take it that it’s essentially not Irish.

    numbers at al, in particular Aldi and Lidl
