So the Independent hasn’t any scruples in their quest to slag off SF. They use one of their own (Independent News and Media) dead employees within hours of his passing, to put forward an anti SF agenda. Shame on them. Can they not even let one of their own rest in peace?

    1. Charger Salmons

At least he died of natural causes and not the sound of scraping shovels.
Unless and until SF’s leader admits he was in the IRA no-one will take them or their IRA handlers seriously.

I remember the New York Times did the same about poor Carl Bernstein. It was Nixon this, Watrrgate that. Couldn’t they just have mentioned his hobbies?

      1. Charger Salmons

As Carl Bernstein is still very much alive I doubt there was much reason to mention his hobbies, never mind an obituary.

        Oh dear …

No, no, no… you wouldn’t put a person’s life work into a piece like that, and draw attention to the highlights. Nah, it must be an anti-SF agenda driven piece. It’s the only logical conclusion….. for the deftly deluded.

        1. sǝɯǝɯʇɐpɐq

Or part xxx of an on-going series…
          An ‘agenda’. of sorts..?

          -I wouldn’t know.
I take everything at face value, I believe everything I read.
          I don’t like confrontation.

But hey, what if Adams and McGuinness stepped down and left Mary Lou at the helm?
          Would you consider them then?
          -Serious question.

I love living in Ireland, but a bit more Socialism wouldn’t go amiss.
Homeless people don’t vote, do they? Think about it.

Failing that, if any of you can think of another way to upset the apple tart that Bertie’s Boys bake, let me know.

If I remember correctly they tried to distract attention away from the loyalist killers of a Sunday World journalist in the 90’s,

    4. Charger Salmons

Fortunately the journalist in question died of natural causes and not accompanied by the sound of scraping shovels.
Until the Shinners distance themselves from their IRA handlers they deserve nothing but suspicion.

The point you’re missing….and I’m not a SF supporter, is the lows that the FG mouthpiece (the independent) go to to try tarnish another political party. And this was a low.

    5. Neilo

The shadowy masters of this hypocritical rabble have fewer scruples still in terms of their ongoing assaults on this island’scivil society in 2015. The ascent of PIRA/Sinn Fein has rendered political satire obsolete.

      1. sǝɯǝɯʇɐpɐq

        @ Neilo:
` The ascent of PIRA/Sinn Fein has rendered political satire obsolete.’

That’s a strange thing to say.
        I don’t get it.

Let’s start with ‘The ascent of PIRA…
        -What was that about?

I have two more questions, for later.

New Minister begs Catholic Church to do her job!

Catholic church have been doing The State’s dirty work for free for decades now. The Labour party won’t be happy until Catholic culture is overwhelmed and/or annihilated. They want everyone with an IQ of a tadpole (like the minister herself), dumbed down, happy little consumers totally dependant on The State.

Did the beal bocht minister ever stop to chat to a few parents? See what they might want for their kids? Would the minister consider going on an art history, philosophy or history course? You know, learn about higher, more intellectual things (at least get a flavour/respect for those whose shoulders we stand on) before embarking on a nihilistic, anti-intellectial programme of destruction? What a gobsh*te. 5 years into a programme for government and she’s trying to appeal to her dependant, dole receiving flat telly constituents. She tells them the reason they’re poor, unhappy and have no hope is because the evil Catholic Church oppressed their kids. Waaah, waaah, waaah.

Saint Paul has reviewed your Customer Service Request and can confirm that they are indeed the devil incarnate. Thank you for your email.

        2. Charley

People of a certain age have a fascination with other people’s tellies and somehow believe that large flat screen tellies are very expensive and a drain on the welfare budget. The fact that flat tellies have been the norm for over a decade and are sold at quite small prices has never occurred to them. “Thou shalt not covet your neighbours goods” seems to have been lost on these usually quite religious people.

          1. FreshFish

            Yes

            All
Them foreigners are coming over here
            Taking our jobs
            Getting everything off the dole
And watching our big screen tellies

          2. sǝɯǝɯʇɐpɐq

            Did you not get yours?
I got two, but I only use the one in the bedroom so you can have the other one.

The usual very “charitable” comments you would expect from our “christian” commentators.

    1. Jordofthejungle

Something tells me Marian is quite in favour of his/her own form of a compliant population basking in an intellectual wasteland.

    1. Nice Anne {Dammit}

Bertie be crying into your microwaved meal for one as per usual so.
Seriously someone has to step up and treat the Marians of the world to some companionship and a decent shag every now and again. If not you, then who??

  3. sǝɯǝɯʇɐpɐq

    Stop it you lot.
    This is online bullying.
It might be funny, but it’s not right.

Here Marian, see what you did there when you forgot to switch off italics?
-I did that the other night and asked BS to fix it for me and they did.
Apart from that I can’t think of anything else to make you look smarter, but if I ever do I’ll post it here.

    Keep the faith.
    No seriously, keep it.
