      Thanks.
Closing date eh?, the Healy Rae’s are not very well organized then. Or it could it be strategic to leave it to the last day.

Last Question – Does it cost any money to register as a candidate?

We all know what’s happening here. 5 seats make things a bit tight now in Kerry. Anything to steal a few votes. Cute white politics. People hate it but you have to admire it.

    Gravy. Gravy. Gravy.

Any other Healy-Raes they can shoehorn onto the ballot? What about Rover Healy-Rae or Snowball Healy-Rae?
I’m sure the people would vote for a cat and dog if they had Healy-Rae in the title. Gombeenism at it’s finest.

The 5 seater in Kerry will be hotly contested. Candidates are from nearly every party and from across the political spectrum.

I was the only candidate running in the Killarney/Castleisland area and there was bound to be a surprise. With all the talk of Michael Healy Rae waltzing in in first place, they will be confident of a good response.

People would do well to have a look at the field before resorting to insult and innuendo about Kerry people.

“Look at the field before resorting to insult and innuendo about Kerry people.”

We did. Healy Rae, Martin Ferris.

        @Kevin M;
I took “Look at the field before resorting to insult and innuendo about Kerry people.” to mean that the rest of the field was even MORE unelectable.

And you say that you were a candidate yourself?
        Hmmm… (strokes chin)

        Kerry is a beautiful place.
I’d be distracted all the time if I lived there.
I wouldn’t have a clue what was going on.
Sure I’d probably vote for the man with the biggest tractor.
-Have you got a big tractor?

Hold on, I get it now…
          …look at the field… ‘

An actual ‘field’, with grass and sheep, etc.

          That’s deep.
