The queen is looking marvellous considering her age. The cork fishmonger that joked an ugly fish was known as ‘the mother’ in law when she visited cork to guffaws of laughter did much good for public relations. A classic. Laughter is best medicine!!

I’d say the toe-sucking DIL was a bit of a struggle. And killing off Di, Princess of our Hearts

      “The queen”

Which Queen? There are queens all over the world you serf. And they all mean nothing in the modern age.

That Longford Leader editorial headline really shows you how we keep getting politicians who aren’t fit to run a country.

And we will continue to get politicians who put their constituency first as long as we elect politicians on a constituency system.

Could be an idea, I suppose there’s no real need for constituencies these days.

I think the current system could be improved by halving the number of TDs and quadrupling the size constituencies (so that constituencies had 8-10 TDs)

You might want to avoid using phrases like ‘dug up’ in the context of PIRA/Sinn Féin: it may be a little on the nose for the families of the disappeared.

        Ah ya know
That sorta sad sorry sh1t throwing wouldn’t stick to candidates with the credentials of the likes of Donnchadh O’Laoghaire and Darren O’Rourke

        But sur
Whatever ye need to do to make gimps like Charlie Flanagan look Ministerial ….

Faeces flinging? Even the lightest bit of cut and thrust is anathema to Provo partisans. I hope those two candidates you mention have thick skins to go with their brass necks.

            Well
            Neither of them are Farmers,
            Or Auctioneers

They don’t need thick skin or brass necks to pass themselves off as suitably qualified to represent their constituency at ANY level

          2. Neilo

No, but they’ll need thick skin to absorb any perceived slight. This is a faculty signally lacking in the PIRA/SF Broadsheet booster squad.

The ‘Independent’ what a misnomer. A prime example of a paper dogged by editorial interference, corporatism and loss of journalistic integrity.
