Last night.
On RTÉ One’s Big Week on the Farm, which continues every night this week at 7pm.
Eight-time All-Ireland Sheep Shearing Champion Ivan Scott, from Kilmacrennan near Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, sheared a sheep in 37.9 seconds – a new world record.
Fair play, in fairness.

It’s like ‘Show & Tell’ week for the townies up in Dublin :)
* Hoofs up baggy trouser, and tightens bailin’ twine *
* Walks away chuckling, hands tapping contentedly behind back, and hollers… *
They’ll be havin’ that !
Ok, I was rolling my eyes at that David McSavage rant and thinking he’s lost the plot, but now I see that RTE have blocked this outside of Ireland, and I’m starting to side with him.
Noonan has been fleeching the taxpayer since March 2011, how come he is
still there:
Looking forward to final night this week of Big Week on the Farm coming live from The Abbatoir. Watch out for any change of expression on the faces of the rent-an-interested-crowd-in-the-background as those cute animals journey from chummy to yummy. Too much to ask maybe?
Every time the telly has been turned on this week -(RTE 1) I seem to have seen 6 lambs born since Friday night & badgers having some private night times.
Poor little lambs & mother with Z list persons pulling blood & guts & cooing about miracles etc.
And with the shouty, over enthusiastic presenters-calm down-it’s a farm.
