This afternoon.

In the Dáil as statements are given on mental health services – following news last week that €12million of the €36million mental health budget is being transferred to other areas in the Department of Health.

Really looks like they give a fupp doesn’t it…

Yawn… Are we not all clear yet that not every TD needs to be present in the Dáil the whole time for a debate? If the relevant spokespeople from the parties are there you don’t need a whole bunch of seat-fillers who could be doing actual work instead.

yawn, sounds like a bored elitist having to demean himself by explaining things to the “peasants”

    They really don’t care.

Plenty of PC lip service in the media and on election trails but in reality, people with mental heath issues are still actively avoided and ignored.

Indeed it is. And I so appreciate it especially as I did have to ditch my car and other “luxurious stuff” to keep it. I wouldn’t be here without it to be honest.
Friend of mine needs urgent care. She’s in the public system. Min 6 months waiting list. I don’t see her making it.

People with mental health problems are not great at voting, are they?
-Much better to spend your time at the funeral of a constituent you never knew or met if you want to be re-elected.

    Simple maths.

Why would any TD be there? Its merely “Statements” – there’s no new policy, funding or legislation – just some TDs venting and no one listening.
