Got these random texts at the weekend. Unknown contact. Friends also received them – across various networks and handsets. All at same time. Anyone else? Aliens making contact maybe?!?
Bilderberg Group / New World Order Coup Test I assume.

I get a text from this one number quite often. Not anyone I know and no actual text data.
I don’t get the blank speech bubble you show here but maybe because i have an old iphone (don’t judge me)
I think you can get on to your phone provider and they may look at doing something about it. I wanted to block the number – but actually will contact vodafone now to see if I can address it. thanks for the prompt!

If you reply to the text to see who it is you’ll be charged a premium rate. It’s a scam.

They’re called Jumper Texts where phone numbers are linked (through your contacts) and a blank text jumps from one phone to another. Usually the origin of these are from agencies to test how far a “jump” can go on a network for security purposes. Hard to know who the original number the message is sent to but chances are one of your friends phone numbers is with the CIA.

CB texts perhaps? Not an actual SMS but looks like one.
Cell Broadcasts do occur on a regular basis.
However CB ‘texts’ generally have some content in the body of the message.

From reading all the above posts, I guess the answer is no one actually knows what these are.
