Walk of shame…
Great to hear he’s been found and is ok
+1 not all that often these end with good news.
Now let the slagging commence!
19 year old goes on a trip with dza lads, likely for the first time, to a football tournament with thousands of drunk Irish fans and his phone dies. I’d say he’s an only child.
“Lee was attending the Euro tournament with his father and nephew.”
Not exactly a “lads” trip. He also missed his flight home apparently, which for anybody looking for him, that would set off alarm bells.
I’m glad that he was found safe, but he should’ve at least borrow a phone from someone and sent the aul man a text to say that he was ok.
Yes, I’m sure his family feared for the worst (as everyone did who read about it). Irresponsible guy- he should rightly be completely ashamed of himself. Instead he will get “legend” status for it.
Or! you could admit you haven’t a clue what happened and not pass judgement.
Well Lee…. explain yourself! Or someone that knows him / them shed some insight!
Any of the below I think:
1. Met a woman, got his hole, and thought “Dad’ll understand, I’m a playa”.
2. Decided he’d just stay for the football and worry about it later and not respond to anything until cops got involved.
3. Both 1 and 2
4. He felt France was a better place “to be himself”
5. He cant tell time or dates
6. A different more personal, upsetting reason, like an illness or depression that will make me feel like a d1ck for posting this.
I hope its 1 and 4. Not 6. If it 6 just forget I said anything.
Don’t worry,Owen – instantly forgettable – as always..
Thanks pal. and I wont mention the contradiction in your comment.
I like the way you burn.
Remember the story of the two chunflahs from Dublin who stowed away to New York in the 1980s on an Aer Lingus 747 and ended up in a NY police station with incredulous cops as they arranged to send them back home again.
I love that story.
they must have sowed away in the cabin of the aircraft, because the unpressurised cargo hold would have killed them.
I think they were recently reunited for the first time in decades just a couple of years ago
I caught the tail-end of an item on the radio yesterday about a landlord finding out through Facebook that his tenant, who owes him 22 grand in rent [apparently], is living it up at the Euros – Ouch!
they didn’t stow away, they just walked on to the plane. they were more surprised than anyone else apparently.
