I’ve always been intrigued about the number of Dublin lads who appear to be avid baseball players and yet there is no pitch.

There’s a pitch in Corcagh Demesne where sad Americans play, watched by their homesick families.

Photographing other people’s shopping trolleys and posting it online is voyeuristic and quite weird.

To me that looks like a trolley being used by staff to move items back to their original shelves and general tidying up.

    Update.

If you search for Baseball bat for sale in Aldi, you will see that it is identical to the one in the photo.

So nice try at the Ballymun sneer and maybe judge yourself instead.

Given that there is a league and a number of pitches in Dublin (according to Yep) then I guess the purchase of baseball bats in a working class suburb of Dublin is perfectly understandable.

I was there yesterday and that bat is exactly the ones they are selling in store.

Kinda pathetic to have a pot shot at the people of Ballymun. And taking photos of other people’s shopping…….creep.

There’s a pitch in Shanganagh Park in Shankill

Although don’t think its called a pitch in baseball.. the ‘outfield’ is it??

It’s generally called a “baseball field” or a “baseball diamond”.
The “infield” is the area around the bases, “outfield” is anywhere else that the catchers run to retrieve a ball.
