Fia is a female adult Boxer who was  last seen in Ballinascorney, Dublin 24 walking in the forest last night. A group of friends and family have been out searching all day with no luck. We’ll be back out again tomorrow but in the meantime we’re trying to share the word as much as possible. Fia is microchipped and she should have her lead and collar on. Any information please call 01-4994700 or email lost@dspca.ie Thank you.

Her owner should put a piece of his/her clothing and a bucket of water near where s/he last saw Fia, plus a lead attached to the nearest safe point, and a note with his/her phone number. Fia will, hopefully, come back to the clothing that smells of the owner, and will stay there because there’s water. The mobile number means anyone who finds Fia can phone you, obv. Keep visiting where the clothing is, and bring a dog whistle, which dogs can hear over a wide area.
Ballinascorney is not a good place to lose a dog; there’s a farmer there very handy with a shotgun.
I hope you find your little deer.

My bad, it’s a horrendous situation. Fingers crossed they find her, and the man in custody is the culprit.

It’s a dog not a person. When you lose several family members you will stop placing such emphasis on hounds and cats.

I’ve lost several family members, some of which were dogs and cats – what’s your point.

we have all lost family close family members…this does not stop us from loving and missing our animals too. In fact ‘hounds as so lovingly put and cats can be of great comfort when we have lost a family member.
