The IBD/TIPP poll — a collaboration between Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) and TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence (TIPP) — has been the most accurate poll in recent US presidential elections.

The final poll included 1,107 likely voters, and is based on weighted results of 361 Democrats, 333 Republicans, and 381 people who identify as independents or other. The final poll, which has a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percentage points, was conducted from Nov. 4 through Nov. 7.

The poll shows Clinton doing better among women (44% to 40%), minorities (64% to 13%), urban voters (56% to 25%), the nonreligious (55% to 22%), and union households (48% to 41%).

Trump does better among men (46% to 38%), whites (51% to 34%), investors (48% to 42%), rural voters (58% to 29%) and those who describe themselves as working class (43% to 42%) or lower-class households (41% to 30%).

Trump also does better among independents (39% to 31%), with Johnson capturing a strong 16% of this group’s support.

            I didn’t – i pointed out Trump is a liar, a hypocrite, does not keep his word, has failed in business, has no leadership experience, has sacrificed nothing for his country, has never done a day’s public service in his life.

            Against that, in a two-horse race, Clinton’s past is irrelevant, it’s him or her and I’m not a fascist :o)

          The Clinton Foundation case, however, is a federal investigation into probable corruption and collusion with foreign heads of state to pervert the course of US politics

            Sometimes all it takes to tell the truth is an election campaign on the behalf of a truly terrible candidate generating a barrage of astonishingly stupid lies and conspiracy theories about the rival candidate and hysterically blowing every real, but minor transgression out of proportion in order to shore up a base that has demonstrated little interest in the truth, such that when something possibly devastating comes along it gets lost in the noise because it was leaked at the last minute in such a way as to suggest more cynical manipulative noise.

            Blame Clinton partisans all you want for ignoring inconvenient truths – hardly an uncommon occurrence in a hotly contested election. Blame Republicans for nominating a man so unsuited to the office that the only way to keep him afloat was to create an insanely toxic disinformation environment where something like this gets lost in the noise. If true. All sorts of credibility has been wrecked on the rocks of Trump’s shore, as it were, Bodger and WikiLeaks amongst them.

    6 million people in Florida have already voted. Given the democrats stronger get the vote out campaign, am willing to bet they are not voting for Trump.

    It’s a horrible choice – on one side you’ve Trump, who epitomises everything wrong with Capitalism versus Clinton who represents everything wrong with “establishment” politicians.

    One made their millions thanks to bailouts, reneging on supplier contracts and outsourcing US jobs to China, the other made tens of millions using while abusing their position as Secretary of State.

      I don’t really understand their electoral system but the core election is different in a number of ways.

      The demographics have changed meaning less traditional republican voters. read that as white prods. And it will do again more by the next 4 years of course.

      Both parties have made substantial inroads into each other’s base and also, lost from their own. Working class to Trump and conservatives to Hillary etc. Very hard to gauge that one when you have the likes of the Bush crew supporting Hillary.

      And then there is voter turnout. They said last night on the BBC that in black areas it was a high as 95%. That is practically all Democrat.

      But the most unpredictable angle is negative or tactical voting. In plain English, who is hated most and in IMO that is Trump. Women in particular are going to mobilise against him and there is no point blaming a rigged system or biased media because that is entirely his own doing.
