Was watching the election results coming in live. NYT’s website had a gauge “Clinton’s chance of winning = 82%”, it dipped slightly to 66% and I joked “Oh here we go, another fuppin’ Brexit”. Well, it’s done now.

      — Ahhh!!!… I just can’t….

It’s ok, remain skeptical, deep breaths and count to a hundred.

Might come as a shock to him that his old life is gone forever.
He has a very serious job now, can’t use a phone, can’t watch TV all day, will be constrained by constitution, supreme court, congress, secret service.
He’ll live in a smaller house than he is used to and will have a degree of scrutiny that will be very uncomfortable.

He’ll deflect the hard work to others and his advisors. I’d say not much will change in how the US goes about itself. Same way not much changed when Obama got in..

George Doobya didn’t change his lifestyle while president, Cheney called the shots. Why would it be different for Trump?

social media is the new journalism.

That people actually believe this is more frightening than Trumps election.

    1. Yep

There is an element of truth to it. Twitter especially has become a man source of information for most established outlets.

Owen Wilson to play Trump in “Donald: An American Story”.

          Journalism
Journalism is the discipline of collecting, verifying, analyzing and presenting information gathered regarding current events, including trends, issues and people.

Those who practice journalism are known as journalists

We are living in an era where journalism no longer reports the truth for the most part and rarely at all unless there is a bias or self interest involved usually for a profit motive.

It’s also known as the post-journalism era.

Now you know the definition you can have fun with an idea about it…..

And that’s what people scream at all the social media commentators with views opposed to their own.

Either you actually believe that the DNC are paying me to destablise trumps campaign (and now presidency) on a blog published from a small island 5000 miles away from washington or you don’t actually know what the word shill means.

“We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals. We’re going to rebuild our infrastructure”

No mention of making the trains run on time…

    For what it’s worth………

If you want to inject some interesting facts about this complicated world directly into your brain like a crash course or cram session in history and geo politics… cause and effect… etc.

I strongly recommend you watch Adam Curtis’ documentary( history, art, journalism, essay, thriller?) called “HyperNormalisation”

BE CAREFUL OF WATCHING COPIES ON YOUTUBE EDITED TO GET PAST RESTRICTIONS

Sit back, relax and enjoy a wild ride with truth and facts straight through the confusion and bizarreness relentlessly permeating all around us….

    Good speach from him.

If he’s serious about the infrastructure spend then that’s great. Hillary’s plan was pretty crap – build fiber everywhere! No point providing miners or blue collar factory workers with access to high speed broadband if they’ve no I.T. skills.
