Spotted in Donnybrook Post Office, why on earth would An Post make it harder for folks to buy its core product? Genuine question!
Anyone?

I haven’t bought a stamp in 40 years and I’m only 36 LOL!
It’s part of the management plan to close post offices, starve them of stock so they can’t make sales, then say it must close because it’s sales figures are poor.

so what you’re saying is, the post office can use postage stamps to post stamps to me, but i can’t buy a single stamp out of hours? or, god forbid i have a parcel.
I feel like you’re genuinely missing the part of your brain that allows for any kind of critical thinking.
Would you like a lollipop?
what?
who are you talking to?
are you feeling okay?
Are stamps really An Post’s core product?
Back in the day when the engineers of P7T were looking at the new concept of the internet someone said to them that this would finish the postal service, apart from parcels, and they said “Nonsense, that would need a computer in every home! That’ll never happen!”
because this scenario didn’t play out in every postal service, everywhere.
You keep trucking though, everything is an excuse to blame other people.
moving into banking this year apparently… good luck with that
They did that years ago.
It’s more than someone’s job is worth to fill and maintain that machine.
Used to be one in the PO in Upper Baggot St – ten years ago maybe, very handy, didn’t last long.
Maybe a bit too handy?
I’ve gotten to know a lot of very nice people through An Post.
I live in a Council estate.
My door number is 7.
I know all the other people on all the other roads in the estate who also live in number 7.
It’s a social service they provide, when they can be bothered.
provide* deliver.
There is no disgrace or shame about living in a council estate. Hold your head high, pay your dues and keep your nose clean, that’s all anyone can do. Go in peace my friend.
…whooosh…
Did you hear that?
– That’s it…You didn’t, because you didn’t want to.
I’m very proud to live in a Council Estate, among decent people.
…People who don’t look down on their neighbours.
Your mortgage doesn’t make you big. The size of it is relevant to your tiny c***, darling.
-And you can quote me on that.
Thanks Trump!
aggravating.
Because like other Irish public services it’s core mission is to provide jobs for the otherwise unemployable. Anything else is gravy for the taxpayer.
AND they close for lunch. I used to send goods and buy stamps regularly – it’s a very bad service.
Libraries and museums always seem to be closed whenever people have the time off to us them too
The person working in that post office, which is at the back of Donnybrook to be Fair, is a see you next Tuesday, I always think that is the main reason the stamp machine is empry with that sign on it, which it has been for probably 4-5 years at this point.
Eh, c’mon…
There’s some fierce good-looking ‘ladies’ working in the Post Office nowadays.
– I think they’ve relaxed the dress-code in recent years…
Pay your bills…
You’ll get dividends if you play it right…
Maybe it just my local PO.
Maybe it’s only me, but so, so.
Maybe it’s how I was born
But I always leave with a big massive horn
And a red face, because I know that they know.
Don’t be slagging the staff.
They are beautiful people.
It’s the misManagement.
Calm down.
Everybody calm down, please.
The Post Office is full of decent people.
They just don’t give a fupp anymore…
Deal with it.
Where do I start to begin?
How do I express my chagrin?
It’s the fuppin’ Post Office
And if it’s taken off us
None of us stands to win.
This Amazon bullcrap’s not right.
